I'm watching "Black or White: Kids on Race" on CNN.

This is the saddest documentary I think I've ever seen. All the little black kids thought that white children are smarter, better looking, that adults like them better, etc.

All the little white kids think that black kids are dumber, look bad, and wouldnt want them as class mates.

ALthough the study can't be the final say on how children see race because of the sample size the conclusions can be taken very seriously.

It just made me really sad to hear 5 and 6 year old talk about how their skin color is ugly, and that people their color are dumb, or not smart. The children of our day and age shouldn't have to deal with these issues. While we should always see colors, and know the differences in tones we should never think one color is worse or better than the other.

*sigh* I dont even think I can go to sleep now.

I dont know if I need to seek some proffesional help.

I get angry very easily. A lot of things can trigger it. I have been doing a lot better at watching what I say, and trying to do a better job at getting the intent across of what I do say.

Ever since I have made this comittment to guarding my tongue people have begun to talk to me like they have no sense. Just talking to me all kinds of crazy.

I just had another conversation with a fellow dancer about how we are really well mannered, calm African-American people. We both feel that the non-African American dancers that we deal with have no clue to vast difference in temperments our culture has. These particular people really dont know the danger that they are in speaking to us in that manner.

Just in danger and dont even know it.

Ill keep up the fight though.

I've been praying for all the people who have inspired me.

I've been praying that the Lord blesses their life, and that they have peace and calm in their life.

Unfortunately some of those people have inspired me due to their negative acts towards me. For them I pray that they have good heath, and a long life. I've also been praying that the Lord will gives them direction in their life.

I hope that you will pray for the people in your life that have had an impact on the person you've become.

When I join an organization, or commit myself to doing something I put all of my heart and soul into it. When I leave that commitment its hard for me to let go. But thats exactly what I need to do. I just dont know how.

In everything I do I try to see how it could benefit this organization. But they dont care about me. Why should I continue to try to be a service to them?

It makes me pretty sad to be treated with such disregard by certain parties in the organization. But I guess thats life.
It is what it is.

As for now I'm done. i'm going to concentrate on me and mine.

im over relationships...in general. Friends, and girls who can be more than friends. It seems to me that people get hurt about the smallest things. Im not saying everyone should be insensitive, and hard hearted, but I think people should really think about something before they become hurt.

I thought someone was really my friend, and I did a lot for this person. They have done nothing in return, brought nothing to the table or my life.

I thought this girl was the one for me, but literally everything she does makes me believe otherwise.

I know I can't isolate myself though, and thank God for the positive relationships He has brought into my life. Thanks God.

I've been taking some dope classes recently; Jazmyne Jenkins, Tenoa Spencer, Tony Tran,and Lisette Bustamante.

I must say..they were all super dope. These have probably been my favorite classes.
They were all different but great.

And I also went to Sportsfest and Level 3 for Elm's birthday. Level 3 was so great, GRV/BREED+ENTITY/HEAVY IMPACT were so dope. They smashed!

And Bmod did great at Sportsfest, I cant wait to see what they do at WOD.

I recently took a class taught by April Rodriguez. It was super dope. Before class she gave me some helpful insight that I think will shape the way I take class, and go about dancing from no on.

But her actually piece was BEASTLY! She taught to " I Get It In"-Omarion (piece she taught for Urban Legends). I learned about beat manipulating, and I pushed myself in her class more than I have in a while.

All in all it was really good.

Next, God willing, is Mari Martin's class which is gonna be at TM Studios. I dont know if I can cause I have Boogiezone right after. If not then Miguel Zarate is gonna be the next person I take becuase some of the other people on my list are going out of the country/state apparently. Oh well.

So I realized something that I didnt realize before...
All the people who I look up to who are great dancers have been dancing for a long time. Like they've been in the game for YEEEAARRRSSS..and I'm barely getting started.

I have so many dreams that I was letting my dreams get ahead of my actual talent. I just gotta put in work and be patient...I'm ready though. I think I'm actually more inspired now then I have ever been. I can look back and see what level I was at in June, and where I am now and it makes me wanna work so much harder..

ssoo i tore my meniscus...its in your knee...I thank God that its not serious serious. Doctors orders are rest it as much as possible for the next couple of days, ice it whenever possible, elevate it, and take pain killers.
For a minute I was really scared that I had seriously injured my knee, and that all my dreams were going to come crashing down around me.

It helped me to put some things in perspective though, and to really fully realize what I want to accomplish.

My goal is to be on an exhibition team...Boxcuttuhz and Breed are my favorite teams and what I have always dreamed of achieving.
I want to continue working with Boogiezone and help further the mission of the company
I want to help promote other competitions and make sure knowledge is effectively spread throughout the community
I want to increase my skills.

I know its the third week of January but I just wanted to let 2010 know...

I've figured out how i feel right now..it happens to be in a analogy....

I feel like I'm standing in front of a vending machine. I'm excited because they have my favorite snack and I'm tired, and ready to get something. I put my money in and...nothing comes out. I try putting some more money in and...again nothing comes out. So I start shaking the machine in hopes that I can get it out..it doesn't work. I want my snack so bad that i start crying as I shake the machine. So there I am, crying, tired, and broke. I'm still hungry, but I'm so depressed that it seems like the snack isn't even worth it...

I'm trying to figure out, whose the stoopid one? The machine for not working? Or me for continuing to put my time, energy, and money into something that's not working?

I've become so busy that I don't even really have time to think.

I know there are people who do so much more than me, but I'm tired. I just want one day off.
I don't think that's too much to ask. Everything is piling on top of one another. School, work, family, dance, church. Like everything. I feel so blessed to have life

I thank God for everything he has done.

so I had to buy a new one. Which made me overdraft. I've had to borrow, and borrow, and borrow money. It's pretty weak. I worked a lot last week and basically all the money that I needed to save for my car ticket will have to go toward paying back my lenders.

I never understood how robbing a bank/gas station/liquer store made sense to anyone. I think I get it now.

I still never could or would do that, but I can see how it's an attractive prospect.

Bmod had its Fall Auditions last night...

There were some SICK canidates. Watching them audition, and how bad some of them wanted it. One auditionee did this thing where he jumped up and landed on his knees. on concrete. everybody winced even though he wasnt hurt and knew what he was doing.

Im hungry.

Saturday and Sunday are going to be real intresting. Saturday is our first Social where we meet all the newbs. And Sunday is our first rehearsal together, as a new team.

I have already started preparing for this lifestyle change. I've been buying, and making my own food. I used to just eat leftovers, or wait for my mom to make something. Not anymore son.

Im working on getting a second job. I want to make sure I have money saved. Got to have a security blanket ya dig?

Im getting my own insurance through the job i have now.

Im going to be applying to colleges soon, and i'll be staying on campus. yee!!

Wweell. I've been pretty busy.

Last night Bmod performed at a club called Level 3. We KILLED.
Lots of dance heads. I met Feng from Quest Crew, Julie and Kim from Sheroes. Gino from Dance4kids and Rosie, Samantha, Rodrigo, and this other girl from JRK. I can't remember her name :-(

I'm sure they won't remember me...but I'll see them again haha. It's a small community. Oh and plus Lydia from Boxcuttuhz was there. I was to nervous to talk to her though....:-[

next week is Summer Retreat. Week after is our Bronco Fusion performance.
Then early October is Bmod auditions. And November 1st is Maxt Out our first competiton of the season.

So excited!!!

I truely, TRULEY appreciate the young ladies who gave me the information. I want to grow, that's what I've been trying to so do for the last couple years.

What's weird is that I can usually shake this feeling relatively quickly. But I think because I want this so bad. Because this has been my dream since high school, it's a lot harder.

I'm willing to put in the work though. I will be better.

Idk. I really think I'm still trying to mask my feelings. I really want people to like me, I do. And at this time I don't feel that's the case.

In reality they may really not dislike me. They may just feel they don't know me. They may actually have no problem with me. But their disdain feels like dislike.

so in order to make dance rehearsals I have to open at vons all the time.

so now I can't take other classes cause im only free mon/wed nights. But I have to be up at 330AM Tue/Thur.

I've been trying to find friday/sat classes but so far i've been at Vons all day those days cause those are the only days I'm available all day.

I pretty frustrated at this point. I want to grow, and classes are the best way to do that.

So i went to BJ's hip hop class. The choreo was dope tonight!! usually he does a lot of locking stuff that I'm not always down for.
But the sheesh he did tonight was on another level. I was killing it too, trust believe.

He really helped me out with how to express the ideas for my student piece. I'm going to try and mix the music this weekend so I can pitch thee idea to Michele next week..

so yesterday I went to Wurstkuche with the homies. Its this sausage place in LA. It was cool. I had the rattlesnake/rabbit sausage with sweet peppers. The fries were pretty banging. I had the bar b que sauce, and a strawberry soda. That came out to $15. was it worth it? yes.

but what was strange was that everything they have is communal. So someone just came up and snatched ketchup off our table. Because its communal. and you can just go get what you want from the other tables.

then we went to Venice Beach. I dont care what you think, I am a punk. The sun started to go down, and I was like "lets go". It was crazy.

Last but not least we had an awesome jam session on Rockband at jaes pad. it was hella fun. jalessa was being a pooper scooper but I had fun. She liked it but I think she was just tired. Oh welll. Rockband session next month. i cant wait!!!

so in dealing with this situation with the person who borrowed my book ive come to realize some things. I'm more prepared to not have any friends in this world, than friends who don't treat me with respect. I called this person to mabye sort this problem out, and I was blown off.

That's cool. I already deleted them from myspace. facebook is next. then the phone. Ill be out of student government soon and we can act like we never meet.
